Rachel Gaudry
Rachel Gaudry is a Sydney based composer with a diverse background in jazz, classical and pop / rock genres. She has composed vocal, electro-acoustic and orchestral works for film, tv, animation, documentary, theatre and radio. |
After completing a Diploma of Music in Jazz Studies at the Canberra School of Music, Rachel moved to Sydney and immersed herself in songwriting and performing. In 2001 and 2003, she released two albums of original songs, produced by Chad Wackerman and Sam Hawksley respectively. The albums garnered favourable reviews and took her on tours of North America and Asia.
Since 2004, Rachel has worked on a variety of interesting film and TV projects and in 2008 she graduated from the renowned Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) with a Masters degree in Screen Composition. She was recently nominated for an APRA-AGSC Screen Music Award in the 'Best Music for a Short Film' category for her music for the short film 'Shot Open'.
